have been trying to get someone's attention every day. This suggests that advertising is the most natural of acts. However; as one who writes and instructs people on how to create, design and buy advertising, it appears that many business people today are shy about getting attention. Well now, with so much competition for so few people able to spend, one has go way overboard to get attention. Few are willing to look absurd in public. If you want polite ads, you really have to think more deeply, on the outside and in the inside of "the box." I often recommend going "through" the box. in contrast to  going "all new" and becoming disconnected outside of "the box." Here you adopt a microscopic view of what's inside " the box" and blow it up big for everyone to see. Imagine what an ad might look like with the following headline: "We think finer when details count." Do you use one of those images of a monkey in serious concentration while grooming another? Or maybe you show a man  standing in front of a haystack holding  magnet.
